Description:

Labour of Love International (NGO) was established in February 2006 by Mr. Benjamin Smith Boanerg, an evangelist to the forsaken, forgotten and abandoned rural community dwellers of Ghana in collaboration with Mr. Solomon Davidson and Mr. Geoffrey Apati, pastor and teacher respectively.
Labour of Love Int. seeks to address the fundamental basic problems of the rural dwellers.

OUR VISION
The vision of LOLI is to lift the forsaken rural dwellers into the glaring lime light of the international communities, which seem oblivious to the very existence, let alone, need of these people.

The other aim is to inculcate in Ghanaians the concept, values and ethics of philanthropy and social responsibility in order to lend a hand to the poor and the marginalized in our rural communities. By so doing they will help sustain the national development efforts. Organizational, financial and community sustainability therefore become key issues to be addressed by LOLI programme i.e. sustaining our various projects, sustaining their impact and sustaining our targeted and planned activities.

The basic philosophy underlying the LOLI programme in Ghana is empowering the marginalized rural forks, women, children and the aged. While these basic love and mercy concepts have a long track history and significance embedded in the vision of several international and local NGOs, politics, self comfort, social deprivation, resources and lack of proper access routes have restricted their activities to the urban settlement where social amenities already abound. It is the aspiration, therefore, of LOLI, its founding members and the sympathisers to rededicate themselves to these eroded values in order to promote sustainable development activities in the rural areas through poverty alleviation strategy.

LOLI is thus conceived to test the hypothesis that cross-sector partnership gives added values, over and above what would have been contributed by the different partners (local & foreign) acting separately.

While LOLI is an infant organization, its founders have a long track record, wealth of experience, and moral disposition, which they will bring to bear on the establishment and development of LOLI programme in the rural settlement.

OUR MISSION
Through the eagle eye research of LOLI’s selfless Executive Director and the dire demand of rural communities in Ghana, LOLI had emerged to address the basic unmet needs of the rural communities:
i) Empowering and sustaining the vulnerable women, children and rural dwellers for self-reliance.

ii) Bridge the gap between the rural youth and the city youth by training the former in modern computer and information technology (IT) courses.

iii) Caring for HIV/AIDS victims and preventing the spread of this virus through relentless effort to reach the marginalized rural dwellers.
