• Learning Circles as a Tool for Diversity Dialogue

  This downloadable workshop from Idealist on Campus is intended to help you initiate a deep dialogue on the issue of diversity. This workshop is based on a spirit of reciprocal and cooperative learning for self and social transformation.

• Inclusive Community Organizations: A Toolkit

  The purpose of this resource, developed by the Ontario Healthy Communities Coalition, is to assist community organizations in becoming more equitable, diverse and inclusive than they are at present. With a focus on small to mid-sized, volunteer-based organizations, this guide includes a self-assessment tool to examine current policies and structures, a step-by-step process and action plan for organizational change, and indicators for measuring success.

  Prepared by the Population Health Research Unit at Dalhousie University and the Social Inclusion Reference Group Atlantic Region, this interactive workbook offers a comprehensive perspective on the dynamic of social inclusion and exclusion. This resource is geared towards governments, non-government groups, and community groups, with the intention of promoting dialogue about excluded groups, raising awareness about how exclusion works, and identifying steps to move toward policies, programs, and practices that will be inclusive.
