In nearly every study of North American volunteerism, researchers find that the vast majority of organizations where people give their time are faith-based. Given this, connecting volunteers to faith-based service, as well as engaging communities of faith in a diverse range of volunteer opportunities, is vital to the health of organizations and the greater communities they serve.
