Link to your Idealist Group from your email signature or other social networking sites
Did you know that every Idealist Group has what’s known as a “permalink?”  This permalink is the unique web address for your Idealist Group that can be found in blue type near the bottom of your group’s page.  You can copy and paste the link along with a description of your group into your email signature or other social networking sites where you have a profile.

Spread the word about Idealist and Idealist Groups
Are you attending an event where you might be able to recruit members for your Idealist Group?  Are you trying to reach out to people who might not be familiar with Idealist?  This one-page flyer about the resources available on Idealist.org and this half-page flyer specifically about Idealist Groups can help you with your outreach.  The documents are editable so you can feel free to adapt them to your specific audience or add information about your group!

Check out Idealist’s Community Action Center
The “Gather supporters and promote your meeting” link on the Community Action Center’s “Getting Started” tab offers lots of additional ideas for attracting members for your Idealist Group or any initiative that you’re looking to promote!
